The Philippines – FremantleMedia announced the premiere of the first season of Take Me Out in the Philippines. The format launches this week on the GMA Network, and will air at 5 pm from Mondays to Fridays in a half hour slot. The programme is hosted by the Philippines’ ‘Platinum Prince of Soul’ Jay-R, in what is the country’s first-ever studio-based dating show. “I have no doubt that Take Me Outwill be a fantastic hit in the Philippines. The format has gathered a huge following across Asia and it’s now travelled multiple territories worldwide through FremantleMedia’s global network, with great success. Take Me Out is a fun, upbeat and vibrant programme which is sure to be as popular with audiences in the Philippines as it has been around the world,” says FremantleMedia Asia’s CEO, Patrick Schult. The Take Me Out format, developed by FremantleMedia in France, was first commissioned in Australia and airs with three versions in Indonesia (Take Me Out, Take Him Out and Take A Celebrity Out). The format has also been acquired in China and South Korea.
