Nielsen has purchased GlanceGuide, and their advanced capabilities have been fully integrated into the company’s day-to-day operations. The acquisition enables Nielsen to provide its global clients with new and critical business intelligence. It introduces a new Nielsen metric to the online video advertising industry – the attentiveness score – which aggregates key variables like viewing duration, video visibility, and audio volume to provide a composite ‘score’ for a piece of video content or advertising. Starting immediately, Nielsen’s SiteCensus clients will be able to subscribe to these new video analytics.
