Singapore – ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) will broadcast the second season of the landmark sports animation series Supa Strikas, across its STAR Sports networks. Caltex has also announced its sponsorship of ESS’ news programme, Score Tonight, on the STAR Sports network. The show enjoyed a robust fan base since its inaugural broadcast in February 2009 and the second series of the animated television programme looks set to build on the encouraging viewership following the successful first season of Supa Strikas. The Caltex-sponsored series, targeted at youths and young adults, follows the fortunes of Supa Strikas F.C. through its star player Shakes, as they take on the world’s best sides in the Super League. In addition, Caltex will be presenting Caltex Football Updates for Score Tonight, ESS’ 30-minute live sports news bulletin on STAR Sports, hosted by Renai Mattu and Jeevan Selvanathan. Caltex Football Updates is an in-programme segment that throws the spotlight on a significant football news story for the day.
