Singapore – Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific (DNAP) announced the re-brand of Discovery HD to Discovery HD World, with the introduction of a new logo and premiere programming. The new logo has rolled out in all markets in Asia-Pacific where Discovery HD was available, namely Australia, Hong Kong, India, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan. The re-brand includes teasers, a new brand spot to reflect the new positioning, and an increased number of hours in HD programming. Discovery was the first international channel to offer HD services in Asia-Pacific with the launch of Discovery HD in Japan in 2005. The company further expanded its HD footprint reaching a total of eight countries in the region, with the launch in India last month.
