London – KidsCo, the international children’s channel, has announced that it is producing a series of idents that will run on the channel’s Asian feed in 2010. The idents are being produced in conjunction with Astro Productions and will highlight what kids are most passionate about. Filming will take place in Kuala Lumpur at popular local attractions including Bukit Bintang Street and the Batu Caves between 13 and 16 March. KidsCo is launching this project on the back of the success of the UNICEF clips that encourage children to think about the world that they live in. The 25 idents will feature boys and girls of different cultures aged 6-12 discussing their daily lives, including: family, friends, music and hobbies. Each ident will be 10-15 seconds and will be shown up to 10 times a day over the course of 12 weeks. Children interested in participating in the clips should send an email to KidsCo-Idents@championcomms.com with their pictures and details about why they want to be in the KidsCo ident as well as a brief description of what they are most passionate about.
