Singapore – CNBC announced that Bernard (Bernie) Lo will rejoin the network as an anchor based out of its Hong Kong Studio. His new assignment will include coverage during core business day programming, as well as a weekly 30-minute talk show. In this new capacity, Lo will report to John Casey, VP, News and Programming for CNBC Asia. Over the last six years, Lo has been the lead anchor on Bloomberg television, based out of Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was with CNBC, also based in Hong Kong, where he hosted several of its flagship programmes including Squawk Asia and talkshow Lo& Co. This is the latest in a series of strategic moves for CNBC Asia over the last several months. These include the January launch of a 24-hour Korean language network in Korea (SBS-CNBC) and the announcement of a new studio at the Singapore Exchange (opening second quarter 2010).
