Japan – The communications ministry, Japan Broadcasting Corporation and private-sector TV broadcasters approved a proposal to end the service of converting signals for terrestrial digital broadcasts into analog signals for cable TV broadcasters in March 2015, said the ministry, as reported by Japan Today. The proposal is a key part of the action program adopted the same day by the Internal Affairs and Communications Ministry, public broadcaster NHK and the commercial broadcasters at a plenary meeting of their national association for the promotion of terrestrial digital broadcasts.
