MIPCOM/Cannes – FlashForward has been picked up by a further nine broadcasters. Disney-ABC-ESPN Television, the international distribution arm of The Walt Disney Company, has worked with partners across linear television and new media platforms to deliver the series as close as possible to the US premiere. The series has now been sold internationally in over one hundred territories. In addition to the acquisitions announced by Disney-ABC-ESPN Television in September, deals for the series have now been completed with free television broadcasters, as well as pay television broadcasters like AXN (Japan). This follows last week’s announcement that the show has been picked up by Fox Italia plus a further 10 broadcasters serving 44 countries in Asia Pacific. Disney-ABC International Television (DAIT) Asia Pacific has concluded an agreement with Foxtel’s Owned & Operated channel group for a new series package. Under this agreement, Fox 8 and W will air first run premieres on their subscription TV service for a selection of live action series including Make It or Break It, 10 Things I Hate About You, Legend of the Seeker and Raising The Bar.
