Hong Kong – The Nielsen Company announced the appointment of Oliver Rust to the position of Managing Director, The Nielsen Company Hong Kong overseeing the company’s business portfolio in Hong Kong. Rust replaces Fanny Chan who has moved to a regional role within The Nielsen Company. Rust is a veteran in market research with more than 13 years of experience in the industry in Asia Pacific and Europe. Rust brings to his new role an intense focus on client needs, as well as a very open and progressive mindset for change in the way Nielsen works with clients and approaches the business. Rust joined The Nielsen Company Hong Kong in 2002. Prior to this appointment, Rust was executive director for The Nielsen Company, China, based in Shanghai. Prior to joining Nielsen, Rust worked with Taylor Nelson Sofres in various client servicing roles in Europe.
