Mumbai – Union minister of state for communication and information technology Sachin Pilot in Gangtok has announced that Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will launch its 3G services in Gangtok by 15 August. Pilot said that BSNL would increase its broadband strength to 30 GB PPS to improve services in Sikkim. All the 26 blocks in the state would be covered by broadband services within 100 days.Pilot added that measures have been taken to improve the quality of services in north east region through communication and information technology, with specific emphasis to Sikkim. BSNL had, in March, announced the expansion of its 3G services in cities across India.
