Cannes, MIPTV – Independent distributors have acquired a slate of HD Asian programmes produced by MediaCorp’s regional news network, Channel NewsAsia, for international distribution. A total of 17 hours of programmes will get worldwide representation by international distributors, Looking Glass International, Electric Sky and ID Distribution. The series of programmes are Rivers of our time (6 episodes x 30 min), a documentary on rivers in Asia and the intricate relationship between the rivers and their people; After 12 (10 episodes x 30 min), a travel series that takes viewers to quaint corners around Asian cities; It’s Organic (8 episodes x 30 min) tells the stories of organic apparel designers, farmers, grocers, restaurateurs, proprietors of organic conceptual places and communities of organic ‘citizens’ across Asia; and Design A-Z (10 episodes X 30 min) showcases some of the most creative designs around the world.
