Singapore – CNBC has expanded its pan-Asian distribution with a new deal on SkyCable’s Gold Tier in the Philippines. This agreement is part of SkyCable’s digital rollout plans. The channel will be available to all Gold Tier digital subscribers when the product is rolled out commercially in May 2009. Subscribers who wish to view CNBC without joining the Gold Tier Package will be able to do so via SkyCable’s à la carte service option. “Being on Gold Tier will increase our visibility in the Metro Manila Area giving us more opportunity to grow within the region and even greater access to our core audience,” said Jacqueline Lam, head of network distribution, CNBC Asia Pacific. CNBC is already distributed on SkyCable’s ‘Metro Pack Tier’, Dream and Destiny in the Metro Manila Area. CNBC will be aired on channel 111 on SKYCable’s Gold Tier.
