Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific announced that it will be broadcasting a new series Hip Korea with the support of the Seoul Metropolitan Government which will premiere early next year on Discovery Channel internationally. The two-hour series will focus on the rising global popularity of Korean pop culture through the stories of two local stars who are making waves on the global scene: Korean pop-idol and actor Jihoon Jung (known as Rain), and veteran film superstar Byung Hun Lee. The program will also offer viewers a look at the changing face of the city of Seoul as well as a first hand look at the vitality and passion of the youth driving Korea’s pop scene as seen through the street art and B-Boys of Hongdae and Daehakno.
