Petaling Jaya – Media Prima Bhd (MPB) is expanding its radio business with the proposed acquisition of Radio Wanita Sdn Bhd (RWSB). MPB announced it has agreed to acquire RWSB through a conditional share sale agreement which will see MPB owning 80 per cent stake in RWSB for a cash consideration of RM$12.16million (US$3 million) less any current liabilities. RWSB currently owns and operates a radio network, currently known as Radio Wanita. MPB currently owns and operates Hot.fm and Fly.fm. And the Global Brand Forum’s debut in Malaysia see the country’s leading media companies join forces to raise the brand consciousness of Malaysian businessmen and marketeers to compete in the global arena. Presented by Media Prima, the Global Brand Forum Malaysia will see collaboration with the New Straits Times, The Star, The Edge, The Malaysian Reserve and Astro Awani, who will use the event and insights from the speakers with the nation.
