London – BBC Worldwide Sales & Distribution has appointed Clare Vincent to the newly-created position of vice president marketing for the business. In this role, Vincent will be responsible for setting the overall strategic vision for marketing BBC Worldwide’s distribution business around the world, encompassing presales and aftersales. Steve Macallister, BBC worldwide sales & distribution MD said, “Clare’s focus will be to take the long view and develop an overarching marketing strategy that supports our business and franchise portfolio as we keep growing.” Vincent was previously director of marketing at Granada International. More recently, Vincent acted as marketing consultant to Target Entertainment Group and also set up creative agency, CreativeVerve, delivering marketing campaigns to media companies such as Popworld (C4), Alliance Atlantis and Contender Home Entertainment. Vincent takes up the role in late November, reporting into Macallister, and BBC Worldwide director of marketing, Helen Kellie.
