Singapore – Singapore based Sparky Animation Pte. Ltd. has entered into a co-production agreement with Porchlight Entertainment, (Santa Monica, CA) and Grimply Films Ltd. (Edinburgh) to co-produce a full length 3D CGI feature tilted, The Grimpley Brothers. Currently budgeted at US$22 million, the production of The Grimpley Brothers has been divided into three phases. With phase one ending with the development of the story and the script for the film, the co-producers are now going into the second phase that involves the making of two minutes from the film. Targeted towards the family audience, The Grimpley Brothers is a comic story about 2 storytellers. In the film, two brothers go from sibling rivalry to brotherly love and appreciation in an emotional journey that takes them through hilarious twists and turns in the story that they’re telling together. The complete animation production of the film will be done in Sparky Animation’s studios in Singapore and Beijing. All the pre and post production will be done by Porchlight Entertainment out of Los Angeles, CA.
