Singapore – MOBTV.sg will make history by offering its members online video streaming of its co-produced drama A Mobile Love Story free of charge before its scheduled free-to-air telecast in September this year. The drama’s first 10 episodes went online on 1st June, followed by the next 10 episodes in July. “We’re very excited about this move as it is the first time in the world an entire made-for- television primetime series has been offered online for free before broadcast,” said Mr Chang Long Jong, deputy CEO (TV) of MediaCorp Pte Ltd. “In doing so, we are promoting the effectiveness of our own online media in distributing compelling content which we have jointly produced. It’s a case of tried and tested production methods being given extended reach through our combination of platforms and appealing across generations.”
