London – Galleon Holdings plc, IP owner and developer, has named Mahesh Ramachandra as global director of entertainment to oversee the company’s convergent media strategy. Ramachandra is responsible for monetizing Galleon’s entertainment properties across multiple platforms and territories, particularly the recent multi-platform football talent search reality show Super Soccer Star. Ramachandra joins Galleon from Cellcast plc where he was VP international & product development responsible for interactive format programming across the company’s global network. Previously, he won the ‘Young Talent’ award at MILIA 1997 in Cannes after founding Magnetica New Media Design in Singapore to develop interactive content; and served as VP new media at the now defunct SPH MediaWorks Ltd.
