London/Singapore/Hong Kong – MTV Networks International (MTVNI) and Swiss watchmaker Swatch have extended their partnership for the latest series of MTV’s user-generated content (UGC) show, MTV’s Best. Show. Ever. The 2008 partnership will make the show and website more interactive and integrated, and will extend the show to mobile TV in Europe and MTV Asia TV channels in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Australia. MTV’s Best. Show. Ever. features videos of individuals doing something they love, sent in by viewers. Europe MTVNI is producing the new slate of 15 five-minute shows with the first phase to air in June – July 2008, and the second installment to broadcast later in the summer. The shows will also run on eight MTV mobile channels in Europe including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands and Sweden. All programming will have a 5″ billboard highlighting Swatch’s sponsorship. MTV Asia channels will first air the 2007 European shows to introduce the concept to regional audiences before showing the 2008 programmes combined with local content. A competition for the best user generated clip running in programming time will also be held.
