Cannes – Nelvana Enterprises has inked an agreement with Turner to air anime series Bakugan on Cartoon Network channels internationally. Under the agreement, the action-adventure series targeting boys aged 6-11 is to be available for broadcast on Cartoon Network channels in Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, and Middle East, as well as UK, Europe excluding Spain, and Africa with launch dates in specific territories to be announced. Bakugan premiered on Cartoon Network in the US in February 2008 and is also broadcast in Japan and Canada where consumer products have also rolled out. Bakugan follows the adventures of Dan and his team of Battle Brawlers in using Bakugan power to save Vestroia and Earth from destruction. The series is a co-production from Nelvana Enterprises, Spin Master Ltd., Sega Toys Ltd., TMS Entertainment, Ltd., Japan Vistec Inc. and Sega Corporation. The line of toys include collectible Bakugan spheres that transform into ‘battle brawling’ action figures when rolled onto special game cards.
