Los Angeles – BabyFirst, a 24-hour commercial-free educational and child development channel for babies, toddlers and parents, has gained carriage in Taiwan on IPTV service provider Chunghwa. The BabyFirst feed from TELSTAR 10 satellite will carry audio in both Mandarin and English. BabyFirst’s Taiwan carriage deal follows its recent entry into Korea via IPTV, and is part of the channel’s efforts to expand its presence in Asia. The channel and its programming is under the guidance of an advisory board comprising child psychologists, educators and pediatricians. Internationally, BabyFirst closed carriage deals with Rogers Cable and Bell ExpressVu in Canada, as well as Canal Sat in France. The channel is also available in the UK on BSkyB, as well as Central America and the Caribbean.
