Paris – Internet TV keynote speeches at MIPTV featuring MILIA 2008 held from April 7-11, 2008 in Cannes will delivered by Hulu CEO Jason Kilar, and Brightcove Chairman/CEO Jeremy Allaire on April 8, to open the Online Video / Advertising & Media day. Kilar’s keynote, ‘Sex, Lies, & Online TV’ will discuss how new online distribution channels have raised the bar for viewing experiences and how these can generate revenue and reach new audiences. Kilar joined Hulu, the online video JV between News Corp and NBC Universal, after nearly a decade at Amazon.com where he was senior vice president, worldwide application software. Allaire’s keynote, ‘Beyond Aggregation: Blended Distribution, Audience Networks & Monetization’ will provide cases of media companies using blended distribution strategies and discuss industry trends pointing to growth and development. Allaire founded Brightcove in 2004 and was a technologist and entrepreneur-in-residence for venture capital firm General Catalyst. The keynotes are also part of MIPTV 2008’s conference programme entitled ‘Audiences on the Move’ in which new global developments in TV programming, advertising, online video distribution, telco-media convergence, mobile media and social networking will be the main themes.
