Hong Kong – Edward Hanapole has joined STAR as Chief Information Officer from parent company News Corporation. In the newly created post, Hanapole is responsible for developing STAR’s digital technology and new media capabilities across the region. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to Laureen Ong, Chief Operating Officer of STAR. Hanapole was formerly Vice President, Global Technology of News Corporation where he led efforts to increase content and technology sharing among its Internet properties. Prior to that, Hanapole worked for IBM Global Business Services as Lead Partner of the Digital Media Practice and Global Executive for IBM’s Global Digital Media group.
