Tokyo – Jupiter Entertainment Co., Ltd. and Jupiter VOD Co., Ltd. will merge on November 1, with the former business entity to remain in operation. The merger is expected to create synergy in content acquisition, programming and marketing activities within Jupiter Entertainment and improve business efficiencies by enhancing its content lineup to expand the company’s operations. Currently, Jupiter Entertainment operates and provides subscription movie channel Movie Plus, and female interest channel LaLa TV to cable operator Sky PerfecTV! and IP multicast broadcasters. Jupiter VOD provides VOD content including Japanese and foreign movies, dramas, and animation programs to cable TV systems.
