Sydney – Joey Fatone, host of NBC’s hit The Singing Bee, is fronting the Australian version of the musical game show, recorded at Channel 9 Melbourne. The show challenges contestants to accurately sing the lyrics to popular songs from the 1970s through to today. One wrong word and they’re out of the game. Up to $A50,000 cash is on offer. In its US premiere on July 10, The Singing Bee grabbed 13.1 million viewers, hailed as the biggest US summer debut since ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
