Endemol will introduce a slate of new formats at MIPCOM, running Oct. 8 – 12 in Cannes. Endemol UK’s new formats include: The Kids Are All Right, a primetime entertainment show that pits a team of adults against child prodigies in mental and physical challenges for a cash prize; Balls of Gold (Golden Balls on ITV1 in UK), a game show that topped rankings for daytime launch this year across all UK channels and took the highest rating in its slot amongst all UK audiences; as well as Would I Lie To You?, a comedy panel show which aired on BBC ONE this year and beat all other channels in its primetime Saturday night slot. From Endemol USA comes Mean Girls, a reality show where people try to turn nice, with some expert help, to win viewers’ votes and a cash prize. The format was commissioned in the US by Viacom’s cable network The N and will premiere as Queen Bees. Also from Endemol USA is The Delivery, a reality format that sends three strangers, given just an airline ticket, $US500 cash, and their clothing, on a mission to find, secure, and deliver an obscure item from remote parts of the world.
