Thailand’s cable satellite TV operator TrueVisions has selected an Omneon MediaGrid content library to provide central line storage for its facility. TrueVisions, previously known as UBC, provides original and syndicated programming on more than 90 channels to 1 million subscribers in Thailand. The MediaGrid provides the facility with 192 TB of raw storage space and bandwidth to allow more than 100 clients simultaneous and unrestricted access to the content via a Gigabit Ethernet network. At TrueVisions, the MediaGrid system will integrate with multiple Leitch production servers and a Dayang archive management system to simplify workflow by providing central disk-based file storage. TrueVisions worked with Omneon’s local partner, Dayang International, on the installation of the system which went live shortly after integration with the archive management system was completed.
