Hong Kong- Sony Pictures Television International’s 10-episode TV series The Tudors, runner up for the mini-series award at the Seoul Drama Awards, has posted strong ratings in South Korea, after premiering on CJ Media’s CH. CGV in July. The Tudors’ debut achieved a record-breaking 2.67% rating for cable TV, ahead of ratings for imports including Grey’s Anatomy and CSI. The show registered a 13% increase in the second week, according to TNS Korea and CH. CGV. Overall, the series outperformed CH. The Tudors chronicles the story of Henry VIII in the early years of his 40-year reign over England and stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who was nominated for the best actor category at the Seoul Drama Awards.
