Sydney- The Seven Network reached a milestone last week, notching its 100th win in the nightly prime-time ratings in the 2007 survey, more than the combined tallies of its rivals Nine and Ten. Out of the 184 primetime nights thus far, Seven won 100 and tied with Nine on two nights; Nine was victorious in 71 nights, Ten was No. 1 in 10, and ABC-TV won two nights. Seven has won 24 of the 26 weeks in the current survey year (26 out of 28 including the two Easter weeks – losing only one week by 0.1% and the other by 0.7%). In all, Seven has triumphed in 29 of the 34 weeks this calendar year. The movie-length premiere of Seven’s Australian drama series City Homicide drew a peak audience of 2 million (average: 1.648 million) and was the No. 1 show in its Monday August 27 8:30-10:30pm slot, beating Nine’s telemovie The King and Ten’s Australian Idol, Law and Order: SVU, and Californication. Southern Star International will launch City Homicide, which looks at four young detectives and their superiors, at MIPCOM.
