Sydney- The Nine Network has commissioned a further 13 episodes of the Australian drama Sea Patrol, focusing on a Royal Australian Navy patrol boat operating in the Pacific. LA-based Australian actor Alan Dale (Neighbours, OC, Ugly Betty) is joining the guest cast as Ray Walsman, an international mining entrepreneur. Regular cast members headed by Lisa McCune, Ian Stenlake, Steve Bisley and Saskia Burmeister are returning. Filming begins in two weeks at Mission Beach, Cairns and on the Gold Coast. Also aboard Sea Patrol are the Pacific Film and Television Commission, Film Finance Corporation of Australia and the international distributor, Portman Media. Filming on the second series is scheduled to be completed by February 2008.
