Amsterdam- Independent production and distribution company Off the Fence is opening Off the Fence Pty, a dedicated office in Cape Town, South Africa, the first move in the company’s expansion strategy. The office will be headed by David Dison, who will be responsible for all strategic and business development handled by Off the Fence Pty. Dison is a civil rights attorney and media executive who has been providing consulting services to producers and South Africa’s national broadcaster and has co-authored various media law textbooks. Joe Kennedy is Director of Production, who will executive produce programming made in the region and scout new talent and filmmakers. Kennedy, who ran Off the Fence’s production company in Bristol, will relocate to South Africa. Also part of the team is Production Manager Yvette Oosthuizen, formerly Production Manager for networks including Discovery and the National Geographic Channel, who will manage the sourcing of new series and production of new programming.
