Sydney-Nominations for the inaugural Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) close on Sept. 12, and the Nominations Council will meet in Brisbane, Australia, from Sept. 24 – 28 to decide up to five nominees in the nine categories. More than 70 countries in the region are eligible to submit entries. The Nominations Council is chaired by Kim Hong-Joon, Festival Director of Korea’s Chungmuro International Film Festival, and Associate Professor, Department of Film, School of Film, TV and Multimedia, Korean National University of Arts. The council’s members represent Egypt, Turkey, China, Iran, Singapore, Hawaii, India and Australia.
