London- Roma Khanna will join NBC Universal International as President, Global Networks and Digital Initiatives, effective Sept. 17. Based in London, she will report to Peter Smith, President, NBC Universal International. Khanna will be responsible for generating growth through geographical expansion, local and pan-regional partnerships, and new channel creation, with a focus on strengthening the content and identity of the Sci-Fi, 13th Street and Universal Channel brands internationally. She will also leverage regional synergies and cross-platform alliances through sales, marketing and advertising strategies. In addition, Khanna will oversee the Digital Initiatives division and create new digital businesses and content, with Kevin Obi, Senior Vice President, Digital Assets reporting to her.
