Beijing / Hong Kong– Italian sports apparel manufacturer Kappa is partnering with MTV Networks China to sponsor MTV Dance To Kill, a dance competition series to seek out China’s best street dance talents. Co-produced with Chongqing Satellite TV, MTV Networks China will host auditions in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Wuhan and Harbin to select 60 participants to compete for a place in the finals in Beijing in January 2008. The winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to US to meet Justin Timberlake. To be telecast to 142 million households through MTV China’s 24-hour channel and Chongqing Satellite TV from September 15 and 16 respectively, the weekly series will be hosted by Taiwanese hip-hop artiste Jeffrey Kung. MTV Dance To Kill will allow Chinese street dance enthusiasts to demonstrate freestyle, street and dance battle moves, as well as to imitate difficult but innovative dance steps from professional choreographers to advance in the competition.
