Korean telco KT has signed a deal with NHN Corporation, Korea’s leading internet company operating search portal Naver and game portal Hangame, to collaborate on IPTV services. The arrangement will enable KT to offer real-time Internet search features simultaneously during a TV program on its IPTV service Mega TV. For example, Mega TV viewers can instantly search and acquire information on characters in soap operas and movies through the Internet search feature, while watching the program. KT also plans to offer two-way data channel service TV Naver, which includes portal services such as Junior Naver (portal service for children) and Hangame this year.
