Singapore- Christopher Steward, Executive Vice President, Viacom Brand Solutions and Southeast Asia, has decided to leave MTV Networks in yet another executive reshuffle. Amit Jain has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Managing Director, MTV Networks India, China and Southeast Asia, relocating to Singapore from Mumbai, where he was Vice President/Managing Director for MTV Networks India. Jain will report to Bob Bakish, President, MTV Networks International, as well as sit on the board for Viacom-18. The move to group India, China and Southeast Asia operations mirrors the company’s structure in Europe where clusters of complementary regions are managed by one executive. The approach fosters localization and helps the company leverage commercial partnerships and creative exchange across markets. In India, Jain spearheaded key initiatives including the launch of MTV Pakistan, production of MTV India’s first full-length motion picture, forays into other South Asia markets, and digital content agreements across multiple platforms.
