California- Omneon Video Networks, provider of media server and active storage systems, appointed Shin Yung Chul as country manager for its South Korean operations. Based in Seoul, he reports to Andrew Thornton, Vice President of Sales for Asia/Pacific. Shin was formerly Senior Sales Manager for broadcasting at Avid Technology, Inc., where he was responsible for sales of nonlinear editor, server, graphics and workgroup products into the Asian market.
