Seoul- Microsoft Korea is to develop a global media hub (GMH) service with KT and SBSi (digital media subsidiary of the Seoul Broadcasting System) to enable both content providers and content service providers to trade and deliver digital content. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by KT Future Technology Laboratory, SBSi and Microsoft Korea to jointly develop and test the pilot service. Microsoft Korea will provide the platform solution, technical advice and examine global business opportunities; SBSi will provide content including Korean and international TV shows and movies; and KT will implement the service. The GMH is an integrated platform where a variety of media worldwide can gather on a single platform to allow service providers to offer their services based on the infrastructure and media content available. The partners will promote digital content and value chain infrastructure of networks, devices and solutions, as well as explore new business opportunities by bringing together content providers, service providers and global software companies.
