Hong Kong- Daniel Shum has been appointed Vice President of Consumer Strategy and Research for Disney Channel Asia Pacific. Based at the regional headquarters in Hong Kong, he reports to Nicky Parkinson, Senior Vice President of Disney Channel Asia Pacific, Kelly Pena, Vice President, and Jill Dowless, Vice President at Disney-ABC global research group in Burbank. Shum will direct all regional brand and consumer research studies and define marketing and programming strategies for key franchises. He will also support the development of brand extensions, new media and branded offerings throughout the region. He joins from Research International, where he worked for seven years and was Managing Director for Taiwan and Hong Kong.
