London/Shanghai- After Thomas, a film depicting a true story of a couple’s struggles with their autistic child made by Hartswood Films and distributed by BBC Worldwide, has won ‘Jury’s Grand Prix for TV Film’ at the Shanghai TV Festival’s Magnolia Awards presented on June 15. The jury commended After Thomas for showing “great sympathy” for the disabled and disadvantage in the society. In addition, BBC Worldwide’s first episode of Planet Earth, From Pole to Pole, won the silver award for ‘Nature Documentary’.
