Los Angeles- Disney-ABC International Television (Asia Pacific) has renewed multi-genre, multi-year volume agreements with Singapore’s MediaCorp TV and with the Philippines’ ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation’s youth targeted free-to-air channel, Studio 23. MediaCorp TV’s free-to-air network Channel 5 will carry programmes including Desperate Housewives, Lost, Grey’s Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, Criminal Minds and The Amazing Race along with new shows Ugly Betty and Brothers & Sisters. Deal also includes features such as Flightplan, Starsky & Hutch, National Treasure, The Pacifier and Freaky Friday. Channel 5 will also get High School Musical and High School Musical 2. Studio 23 will get a similar batch of new and returning series and features such as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and National Treasure. Besides licensing both High School Musicals, Studio 23 also picked up Disney Channel Original Movies Cheetah Girls 1 and 2.
