Toronto- Achilles Media Ltd., event organizer of the World Congress of History Producers, has named Bill Nemtin as WCHP Executive Producer, succeeding Craig Thompson. Nemtin is working with the History Advisory Board to plan the next History Congress, which is scheduled for early 2008. Nemtin joined Achilles Media Ltd. in the U.K. in January 2007, where he was responsible for coordinating the U.K. Advisory Board and setting up U.K. participation for the Banff World Television Festival. He has produced and chaired panels for BWTVF, Reed-Midem, Real Screen, Hot Docs and other events. Prior to that, he worked with U.S. Public Television for more than 22 years, specializing in setting up foreign co-productions and acquisitions. The World Congress of History Producers is the pre-eminent international event for broadcasters, content creators, producers and other industry stakeholders in history and biography television.
