Singapore- National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) is partnering with Asia’s conservation advocates including WWF International, Hong Kong’s Wetland Park and Ocean Park, Singapore Zoo as well as Miss Earth Singapore for its Asia-wide Earth Day initiative to raise public awareness of conservation. Duncan Pollard, Director of the Forests for Life Programme at WWF, Biswajit Guha, Assistant Director, Zoology Department of the Singapore Zoo, and Shn Juay, ‘Miss Earth Singapore 2006’, will feature in a series of interstitials on the National Geographic Channel to highlight key environmental issues. The National Geographic Channel will also air a series of environmental programmes including episodes from the popular National Geographic series Strange Days on Planet Earth and The Living Edens to commemorate Earth Day (April 22).
