ZEE5 Global, the world’s leading streaming platform for South Asian content, is set to launch its next Telugu original tentpole series, Nayanam, premiering on 19th December.  Directed by Swathi Prakash and headlined by Varun Sandesh and Priyanka Jain, the six-episodic series is an edge-of-the-seat psychological thriller that dives deep into the human psyche, where the line between truth and obsession blurs dangerously.

At the heart of Nayanam lies Dr Nayan (Varun Sandesh), a brilliant yet morally conflicted ophthalmologist whose illegal experiments allow him to see into people’s private lives. What begins as a scientific curiosity soon turns into a dark obsession, one that pulls him into a chilling web of murder, manipulation, and buried truths. Nayanam is not just a thriller; it’s a study of human nature, asking a haunting question: How far would you go to uncover the truth, especially when the truth can destroy you? With its intense performances, layered storytelling, and atmospheric direction, Nayanam promises to be one of Telugu ZEE5 Global’s most ambitious and thought-provoking originals yet.

Varun Sandesh, who plays Dr Nayan, said, “Playing Nayan was one of the most complex challenges of my career. He’s brilliant, ambitious, but deeply flawed, and that contradiction drew me to the character. Priyanka Jain, who plays the character of Madhavi, added, “Madhavi isn’t just a character, she’s a woman who’s been pushed beyond her limits.
