DICE Verse Secures Global Sponsorship and Broadcast Rights for Historic Kabaddi World Cup 2025

February 3, 2025 by TVA Editor

DICE Verse, a leading entertainment and sports content ecosystem, has announced a landmark partnership with World Kabaddi, the governing body behind the global expansion of Kabaddi, to manage global sponsorships and secure exclusive licensing and distribution of broadcast rights for the Paddy Power Kabaddi World Cup 2025.

Taking place from 17th–23rd March 2025 across the West Midlands cities of Wolverhampton, Coventry, Birmingham, and Walsall, the Kabaddi World Cup marks the first time the championships have been hosted outside of Asia. Over 60 thrilling matches will be played, showcasing one of the world’s most high-octane contact sports to a rapidly growing international fan base.

Hosted as a joint venture between World Kabaddi, England Kabaddi Association, the British Kabaddi League, West Midlands Combined Authority, and the four local authorities in the region, this historic event aims to captivate a global audience and elevate Kabaddi’s profile. DICE Verse will harness its DICE Sports expertise to connect the tournament’s broadcast rights with top-tier media outlets, OTT platforms, and digital services worldwide—fueling sponsorship opportunities and expanding the sport’s reach.

“We are proud to team up with DICE Verse at this watershed moment for Kabaddi,” said Ashok Das, President of World Kabaddi. “As we bring this thrilling sport to new audiences across the globe, DICE Verse’s proven expertise in sponsorship, broadcast partnerships, and distribution will help us seize the unprecedented opportunities that come with hosting the Kabaddi World Cup in the UK for the very first time.”

“As the Kabaddi World Cup makes its historic debut outside Asia, we’re excited to expand the sport’s global footprint and invite new fans to experience its energy and excitement,” said Sid Khemka, Founder and CEO of DICE Verse. “By uniting the power of our DICE Sports offering with World Kabaddi’s commitment to developing the game internationally, we’re helping shine a spotlight on Kabaddi’s growing popularity and commercial potential.”

Joel Lavery, Strategic Lead of Major Sporting Events at the West Midlands Growth Company, said:

“It is a massive honour and very exciting to welcome the first Kabaddi World Cup to ever be held outside Asia. The West Midlands sits proudly at the heart of sport in the UK – with superb sporting settings, unrivalled connectivity and a passion and track record for hosting major sporting events.

“This tournament promises to have a tremendous impact on the growth of kabaddi, bringing the West Midlands’ diverse communities centre stage. Working closely with DICE Verse will ensure that the eyes of the world will be on the West Midlands – we look forward to showing off our great region to kabaddi players, staff and fans in March.”

The University of Wolverhampton is the event’s education partner, while Sporting Equals serves as the charity partner—reflecting a broad-based commitment to community, inclusion, and sporting excellence.

The Kabaddi World Cup 2025 promises to be a vibrant celebration of sport, culture, and community, with men’s and women’s teams from around the globe competing for the prestigious title. Hosted across the West Midlands, the event is expected to draw significant international audiences, further boosting the region’s reputation as a premier sporting destination.
