Blue Ant Media adds streaming channels to DIRECTV’s newly launched FAST platform

February 5, 2025 by TVA Editor

International production studio, rights business and channel operator, Blue Ant Media has announced at NATPE Global that three of its free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels are now available on My Free DIRECTV, which launched late last year. DIRECTV’s U.S.-based audience now has access to three of Blue Ant Media’s curated media brands, including: award-winning wildlife and nature programming on Love Nature, a slew of true crime content on Total Crime and a line-up of compelling stories, from conspiracies and catastrophes to engineering and ancient civilizations, on Declassified.

“Partnering with DIRECTV is an exciting milestone for Love Nature, Total Crime and Declassified as it supports Blue Ant Media’s ongoing U.S. expansion in the free-streaming space,” says Carlyn Staudt, EVP, Global Channels and Streaming, Blue Ant Media. “Our new partnership with DIRECTV allows us to offer our curated, popular programming to DIRECTV’s engaged audiences.”

Love Nature highlights include:

Total Crime highlights include:

The third season of Cause of Death (10 x 60’) a documentary series that gives audiences behind the scenes with a coroner and the autopsy process during a murder investigation; three seasons of Killer in My Family (18 x 60;), in with the relatives of murderers revealing if there were any signs of murderous intentions before their loved ones committed heinous crimes; and Social Media Murders (4 x 60’) a look at modern crime with  cautionary insight into the unsettling role social media played in bringing together culprits and victim.

Declassified highlights include:

Top Secrets UFO Projects: Declassified (6 x 60), which explores the infamous plan to investigate UFO sightings during the Cold War; Super Tunnel (9 x 60), a look at the massive construction project to carve a 42-kilometre-long shaft underneath London while commuters and city landmarks remain undisturbed; Spycraft (8 x 60), which takes viewers on clandestine missions to learn how spies ferret out sensitive intel about foreign countries with the help of high-tech tools; Hidden Histories of WWII (4 x 60), which looks at the victory of how a British Sherman tank outgunned a monstrous German Tiger tank in an extraordinary 1944 battle in Normandy; The Weather Files (8 x 60), a fascinating journey along the hunt for killer tornadoes; and Forbidden History (18 x 60), the story of two mysteries surrounding the ancient city of Petra in Jordan.
