PINEWOOD STUDIOS, UK – Rotolight, the award-winning British LED lighting manufacturer, has been awarded the Photography News Innovation Award 2018 for its pioneering on-camera LED, the NEO 2. This is the latest in a string of wins for the light, including three Digital Camera World Awards, as well as Editors’ Choice awards from Amateur Photographer and Pro Moviemaker.

The Photography News Award, chosen following thousands of public votes cast from the photography community, recognises the innovative design and industry-first features of the light, and was awarded to Rotolight over stiff competition from the Profoto A1, Sony A9 and Fujifilm GFX.

Launched in 2017, the NEO 2 is pioneering all in one High Speed Sync (HSS) Flash and continuous on-camera LED, designed specifically for portrait photographers and videographers on the go. NEO 2 can be simultaneously a continuous ‘modelling light’ and HSS flash, allowing the photographer to easily acquire focus in dimly lit situations and optimise composition.

The NEO 2, as well as the rest of the award-winning Rotolight product range including AEOS and Anova PRO 2, will be on display at The Photography Show on Stand D150 from 17-20 March at The NEC, Birmingham.
