KABO International has secured worldwide distribution rights (outside of Canada and France) to the hospital ER documentary series On Duty 24/7 and gripping True Crime docu-series Solved! Forensic Police Files, both produced by Canadian prodco Avanti Ciné Vidéo. With an expanding catalogue that already includes Avanti’s hit gameshow Hot Pepper, as well as scripted comedy formats Dumped!, and Adam & Eve, this deal signals KABO’s extension into factual content, as well as highlighting the strong growing relationship between the two companies.
Working closely alongside Distributions Avanti Ciné Vidéo, KABO International will also be presenting On Duty 24/7 (aka De garde 24/7) and Solved! Forensic Police Files (aka Police scientifique) to international buyers at the upcoming MIPCOM market.
Already a standout success for broadcaster Tele-Quebec and winner for the second year running of the 2017 Gémeaux: Best Documentary Series – Society, On Duty 24/7 (24 x 23’ and 8 x 46’) is a gripping hospital ER doc series that takes viewers behind the scenes of a busy hospital to witness first hand the challenges that doctors and their teams face daily whilst trying to save lives. What drives these elite individuals to persevere? Who are the people behind the white lab coats? This documentary series follows doctors who open up about their personal issues and profession through interactions with patients.
