Singapore – Animax, the region’s leading anime channel, announced a campaign with Waterway Point starring Animax’s popular characters, OO-Kun & Friends. The campaign marks the first of its kind for the channel, and comprises four original animated clips featuring Waterway Point’s exciting amenities including Happy Park, The Cove, Wonderland and Party Room. These clips will be available on Waterway Point’s Facebook page.

OO-Kun, the mystical, mischievous raccoon, made his global debut on Animax in 2014 and quickly rose to fame in the social space engaging Animax’s 1.7 million fans on Facebook. The character was so well-received by the anime community that Animax created three ‘friends’ for OO-Kun: Miruku, Imo and Chu Chu. Over 100 short form animated clips have been created to bring the characters to life on Animax, and most recently Animax launched OO-Kun’s own Instagram page amassing 11,000 followers in a few short months.
As part of the campaign, 32 fans will be selected to attend an exclusive meet-and-greet party with OO-Kun and Chu Chu. To participate, fans can log on to Waterway Point’s Facebook page each week starting from 22 September to 13 October to watch a clip and answer a few simple questions. Four winners with the correct answers each week will win a pair of invitations to Waterway Point’s Party Room to meet OO-Kun & Chu Chu at the end of October.
