MIPCOM, Cannes – 108 Media the Toronto-based, global content distribution company, announces it has acquired the exclusive worldwide rights to Passionate TV (5 x 30’) – a never before seen docu-series that tells the inspirational stories of five successful people who are following their dreams, whilst trying to make the world a better place. Created and produced by Auroris Media, the series will sit under the 108 Believe banners – a distribution arm developed with the intention of delivering stories that uplift and inspire.
From social entrepreneurs and Hollywood entertainers, to Wall Street business executives and best-selling authors; Passionate TV aims to inspire the next generation poised to make their mark in the world, by asking those who are living out their wildest dreams what inspired, motivated and led them to such positive contributions to society.
Viewers will meet Scott Harrison, former New York city night club promoter turned Founder and CEO of Charity Water, which provides clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations; Adam Braun, a New York Times best-selling author and the co-founder and CEO of MissionU and Pencils of Promise – a global community helping people gain access to quality education; Nancy Lublin, CEO of Crisis Text Line, the world’s first 24/7, free, text message-based support service currently available in the US; Shane Hurlbut, Hollywood cinematographer and founder of HurlbutVisuals, which aims to mentor the next generation of filmmakers; and Shiza Shahid, Co-founder of the Malala Fund and a passionate women’s rights activist, who from the early age of 14 volunteered in a women’s prison and at 16, volunteered at a Pakistani relief camp.
